Trolley Ice Cream - July 22, 2008

Members cruised to the "Trolley Ice Cream" in Henderson Harbor, NY for a delicious treat.  We met up with Club member / Owner Dave Chase and displayed the Corvettes in front of his Trolley.  As usual, the "Trolley Girls" were there to take good care of us.  Dave has offered the Trolley to sponsor the Club as the official "Ice Cream Club Sponsor".  Thank you Dave & Trolley Girls.

Be sure to check out the Trolley's new web site at www.trolleyicecream.com along with photos in our Photo Gallery.

Ives Hill Retirement Community - 10th Year Anniversary - July 19, 2008

Some members displayed their Corvettes on the lawns of the Ives Hill Retirement Community during their 10th year Anniversary.  The residents enjoyed viewing the Corvettes along with other activities that were going on that day.  Members of TopVette enjoyed a delicious cookout before departing on their way.  Ives Hill greatly appreciated us coming out for the display and thank the members.  This is what the Club is about helping out the community. Photos can be seen on our Photo Gallery page.

Spring Cruise - Mystic CT - June 13th - 15th, 2008

Six members cruised for the weekend to Mystic CT.  Once there Ed Mason was our tour guide as we visited the "571 Natilus".  This was the first nuclear powered sub and the largest of it's kind at that time.  This was the sub that Ed was stationed on and he gave us lots of information that we would have never received on our own.  It was so exciting to see just tour the inside and see what went on and how compact it was to hold a crew of 109.  The museum was also full of photos and information on other submarines that went to sea.  Be sure to check out our photos.

After visiting the Natilus, we did some shopping at the quaint little Mystic village.  There was plenty going on for everyone with all kinds of shops.  The weather was perfect all weekend in the high 80's.  Lots of cruising time with the tops down.

Fly-In Breakfast - June 8, 2008

Nine TopVette Cruisers cruised to the Fly-In Breakfast at the Oswego County Airport, Fulton NY.  The weather was perfect and all had a wonderful time.  We met up with the other three Corvette Club's: Syracuse, Generations and NNYCC.  It was mentioned that this could be a record breaking attendance of 53 Corvettes.  Following the breakfast, TopVette members were invited to Ed and Karen Mason's cottage at Clear Lake.  What a great day to be near the water.  Thank you Ed & Karen for being such gracious hosts.  Be sure to check out the breakfast photos in the Photo Gallery.

Lake Placid Luncheon Cruise - May 17, 2008

Members cruised to Lake Placid for a fun filled day.  Some went shopping while others went to a Classic Auto Auction.  No one came home with a different Corvette, although Dave Binion is considering on dickering on one that didn't sell.  After shopping we had a delicious lunch at Charlie's Restaurant and a few beverages.  Everyone's meal was great, along with the service.  From there some stayed on for awhile and others cruised back home.  We were fortunate to have great weather.  We cruised up with the tops down and left the same way.  The temperature was in the low 70's when we headed back, with the sun shinning.  What a perfect way to start off our cruising season with such wonderful friends.  Be sure to check out our group photo in the Photo Gallery.
